About Stevenson, PLLC

Bridging the Justice Gap

I started Stevenson, PLLC because I kept seeing good people stuck in a bad spot, unable to get free legal help, but unable to pay the sky-high rates of a big firm.  They were left to either go it alone or settle for less than they deserved.  I decided that wasn’t good enough.

I take on the kinds of cases that keep you up at night, those messy disputes, high stakes, and with opponents who won’t back down. These cases aren’t won by luck. They’re won by digging into the details, crafting a strategy that fits your situation, and being ready to push just as hard as the other side. I take cases selectively, choosing only those where I can commit the time, focus, and strategic firepower needed to give my clients every possible advantage.

That’s where my background comes in, litigating high-conflict cases, negotiating major federal contracts, and applying the discipline I learned serving in the U.S. Army Infantry. When you hire me, you get me. I’ll return your calls, give you straight answers, and treat your case like it matters, because it does. My job is to stand between you and what’s coming at you, to protect what’s yours, and to fight for the outcome you need.

Frequently Asked Questions

At Stevenson, PPLC. we've compiled a list of common questions to provide you with quick answers and insights into our services.

  • My practice focuses on civil litigation, business disputes, and family law matters, with a particular emphasis on high-conflict and high-stakes cases in Pierce County. I represent clients in business torts, contract disputes, probate litigation, and contested family law matters, as well as selected transactional work such as business sales and lease negotiations. Whether in the courtroom or at the negotiating table, I approach each case with the same goal: to deliver strategic, detail-driven representation that achieves meaningful results.

  • Every case is unique, so the total cost depends on the type of matter, its complexity, and how much work is required to resolve it. I offer both my standard hourly rate and a reduced low bono rate for individuals of moderate means in Pierce County. In some matters, I can also offer flat fees for clearly defined services, such as uncontested minor guardianships. Before you hire me, we’ll discuss your goals, the scope of work, and likely costs so there are no surprises.

  • The timeline depends on the type of case, its complexity, and the court’s schedule. Some matters, such as uncontested agreements, can be resolved in weeks, while contested litigation may take many months or longer. At the start, I’ll give you a realistic estimate based on the specifics of your case, and I’ll keep you informed of any developments that could affect timing so you always know where things stand.

  • Bring any documents or information that will help me understand your situation, such as contracts, court papers, correspondence, financial records, or relevant timelines. If you have notes about key events, dates, or people involved, those can be helpful too. The more complete and organized your information, the more productive our meeting will be. Most importantly, bring your questions and be ready to talk openly about your goals so we can determine the best path forward.

  • I represent a limited number of clients at a time so I can devote the focus and preparation each case deserves. When deciding whether to take a case, I look at the legal merits, the complexity of the issues, and whether my skills and approach are the right fit for your goals. If I cannot take your case, I will do my best to refer you to another attorney or resource that may be able to help.
